This is the largest, professional avicultural event held in Queensland annually. Hundreds of exotic and native birds, avicultural products and merchandise are available for sale from top breeders and avian industry professionals. Birds offered for sale are not limited to just parrots but finches, canaries, budgies, quail and much more.  There are extensive trade displays, a monster raffle, an exotic and rare parrot expo as well as specialty avicultural club promotional stands. A comprehensive ‘Code of Practice’ covers vendor practices to ensure that all birds are managed properly.  Professional veterinary checks are also conducted to ensure that each bird's welfare is met and to increase buyer confidence. The Queensland Government's Environmental Protection Agency ‘Queensland Parks and Wildlife’ grants a commercial wildlife permit for this event. This allows the sale of native fauna and for the Parrot Society of Australia to issue Movement Advices for native birds sold on the day. This is a public event – all welcome. On-site catering and parking available.
