The Marketplace:

In between Birdsale Days you'll be able to visit the multitude of classifieds sites for your livestock needs. However, please read the legal disclaimer below before dealing with people that you don't know on the internet. There are a lot of scammers out there so don't part with your money till you have receive the goods!

If you have a worthwhile site to include on this webpage please email me the link and we'll review it.

Our very own directory listing of private breeders. If you think we're doing a great job on this website, please support us in creating the most complete listing of breeders by adding an entry into the category of bird that you breed. You may not have any for sale right now but it gives buyers a contact point so that they can order from you when you do have stocks. I'm hoping to have an entry for every type of bird in Australia. If you don't know how to list, just send me the details and your email address and I will post the ad for you.

A very basic and easy to use website. Contains no fancy search features, the latest advertisements are just added to the top of the heap and the viewer just scrolls up and down using the side scroll bar, and clicks into the ad he/she wants more information on. Has a facility for the seller to attach 3 photos to the ad. This  site is arguably the most popular website for pets because of its simplicity and ease of use. Plenty of birds for sale ! Best of all its a Free Service.

A site that is gaining popularity quickly. It has all the nice features that you'd expect and best of all it's all free for the seller to use! Definitely the most featured packed of the most popular Australian pet sites that I've seen. Lots of parrots, finches and quails and other birds for sale.

Trading Post

This  the online version of the traditional Weekly Trading Post. A Popular site with all the search features you'd expect. Including a nice photo displayed with your advertisement. Listing your pets for sale comes at a price. Plenty of birds for sale ads to search through.

Here's another classifieds site for birds irrespective of whether you are buying or selling. When you find an advertisement that you are interested in...don't forget to click photo to get more information on the seller. (they forget to tell you this on the webpage)

Probably the newest website listed here, which is fast gaining popularity. Has more features than the basic websites. The clutter of advertising information may confuse the less computer literate but once you've gotten used to what buttons to click, it's really easy to use. HINT: Click on any photo to enlarge and click on Pages: (1) [2] [3] to look at the next page.

A classifieds site popular with dogs and cats but contains a handful of birds 4 sale. Photos provided and some nice search features are given.

Another classifieds site with all the features. Not a lot of advertisements but you never know what you'll find here. Just Click the SEARCH button at the bottom when the page opens up.

A no frills website! Not even a search box is provided however it's all free for the sellor. Not a real lot of listings but still worth having a look.

I said I'd list only websites with heaps of listings but I need to make an exception for this one since eBay will not allow the sale of livestock on their website. So all you eBay junkies out there, here's your chance to sell livestock through an online auction.

Legal Disclaimer:

These sites allow anyone to advertise reptiles for sale. We are not party to the actual transaction between buyers and sellers and we have no control over the quality, health or legality of the reptiles advertised on the classified sites. We therefore disclaim any liability, expressed or implied for damages arising out of any transaction originating from these websites. Do not deal with sellers of livestock from overseas. If you do not know the seller then don't deposit or send money before receiving the reptiles. If you are not a shop, do not give away your address or any other personal details on the posting. If a Buyer or Seller gives you a mobile number, in addition, you should always ask for a fixed telephone contact number as this is traceable, it is advisable that you ring them back using this number at least once to establish legitamacy. The onus is on you to ensure that the seller or the buyer is legitimate and for the safeguarding of the transaction.

Always remember LET THE BUYER (or Seller) BEWARE !
